My Cousin's Wedding

I would like share this experience I had when I was attending the wedding of my second degree cousin in Regency Hotel in Davao, in fairness to Regency Hotel, they have a nice ballroom, spacious ballroom. Well, My cousin planning her wedding by herself with the help of her fiance 6 months before, During her 1st month planning, she approach me to help her in planning her wedding since i already have done several wedding coordinations and planning during my stay in manila and working in one of the golf and country club in central luzon, and she saw me coordinating the wedding of our cousin at the BS Inn hotel in which I have a very bad experience in that hotel, where thier ballroom is really bad as well as thier staff are not that courteous as what you expect in a hotel. The hotel staff supposed to be a service oriented but its very different from that of BS Inn hotel thier staff are sarcastic and they dont even know the proper service of food. But anyway those were my bad experience with hotel and it could not be happen and I won't allow any of my relatives and friends and especially to my future clients to have thier wedding reception in BS Inn Hotel.

Davao City has a lot of finest hotel that could cater the needs of the client that suit to their budget but not in BS Inn Hotel.

With my experience to cousin's wedding is truly a good experience not that perfect compared in manila, but good enough because the staff of Regency Hotel are cooperative and courteous they immediately address to our needs and request without any hesitation.

To my cousin Charity and Boyen my best wishes, since i was'nt be able to congratulate you after the reception since i was in hurry to catch the service that brought us to the Island, and my boss are keep on calling me when I'll be home. My apology to Charity and Boyen.

Story behind the wedding;

My cousin texted me 2 days before her wedding just only to invite me to attend their wedding, but two months before the wedding she was informing me to the wedding coordination but due to my demanding job I dont have the time to discuss with her the flow of wedding program, we can't able to talk to formally plan the concept of her wedding. So on her wedding day I arrived at the hotel at exactly 10am 5 hours before the wedding ceremony. First thing i did upon my arrival we discuss the flow of the program for reception very quickly. I don't even discuss the ceremony program, since she just told that she already had the program host, so i felt confident that the ceremony will went well, but to my dismay and i was so dissapointed of what happen I even expect that it became worse scenerio, the host itself doesn't know who are these principal sponsors are and who those were able to attend. My apology to the couple but in general the wedding was very successful. Since my concentration was only for the reception program.

Where in-fact she was expecting me to do coordination and the execution, hey guys I do the coordination and execution on the wedding day imagine there is no even turn-over or at least meet the bride 2 days prior to the wedding day, but thanks to GOD I made the execution and coordination lets say from scale of 1-10 i made to 8. Well I am proud to say that.

Charity had her host for the reception so I only do the coordination and execution, imagine guys, it doesn't mean that I dont have trust with that of the Host, at the reception program, I myself who did the introduction of the newly weds (couple) for thier grand entrance, I want that thier wedding reception will be remembered by her guest, So I get the micrphone from the Host and I do the introduction for the grand entrance of the Newly weds. After the wedding reception I feel so happy and satisfied with what I did and I said to myself, "I MADE IT", because whoever the best wedding coordinator in town has the hesitation to the coordination and execution without the proper turn-over from the bride not even have the time to talk with the bridal entourage especially the principal sponsors as well as the maid of honor and best man?

So I ended up the wedding very successful.

I am creating this blog for the benefit of single individuals just to promote samal island as potential tourist destination and also for prospective investor in the island. Samal Island been chartered city since 1998 and up to this date resorts are like a mushroom sprouting every nook of the island, thus those new resorts are having difficulty in promoting thier resort to foreign tourist. Thus, i am asking everyone to please help promote samal island as the best tourist destination in the island of mindanao as well as in the philippines.
